What it is:
A wireless switch kit with a transmitter that runs on mains power instead of batteries. Add a switch anywhere you have power available, even if there's no direct wiring to your load. Using long range RF technology, it works at distances up to 300 meters.
How it works:
The mains powered transmitter has an input terminal that senses whether mains level voltage is present. Any detected change of state is transmitted to the receiver.
Quick specs:
Receiver supply | 100-240VAC 50/60Hz |
Maximum load | 6A |
Receiver dimensions | 73mm x 43mm x 26mm |
Module dimensions | 73mm x 43mm x 26mm |
Wireless range | 300 meters (915MHz) |
Inside the box, you will find:
- Long Range Wireless Receiver(s) with integrated relay.
- Mains Powered Switch Module(s).
- A Wiring Guide and Installation Instructions.
Installation options:
- Standalone setup: Connect the receiver directly to your lights to use wireless switches only.
- Add on to an existing switch: Connect the receiver to your current switch to use both the physical switch and wireless switch in a 2-way arrangement.
Quick tip: Already have a light switch? You only need the 1-transmitter kit to add another switch location for a 2-way setup. View the wiring diagram here.
Key features:
- No WiFi needed.
- Switch and receiver come pre-paired.
- Order multiple transmitters to switch lights from different locations.
- Order multiple receivers to control separate loads from the same switch.
- Use multiple kits in the same location without interference.
- Signal works up to 300 meters range through walls and obstacles.
- Reliable connection with no interference from other wireless devices.
Tips for best use:
- Contactors and relays with AC coils can emit electromagnetic noise. If you intend to use such equipment nearby, ensure that there is at least 600mm separation from the receiver.
- Ambient temperature maximum is 45°C. Avoid enclosing the receiver with sources of heat like drivers, transformers, or luminaires.
- Metal casings can reduce the wireless range. Where possible, avoid using metal enclosures to house the units.
- Need to control gates or other momentary pulse loads? Contact our support team and we'll provide a special version designed for this purpose.
